Application of evaporative ventilation cooling technology to frequency conversion machine rooms of power plant in northwest region

Briefly describes the load characteristics and cooling requirement of frequency conversion machine rooms in power plant. Tests the performance of evaporative ventilation cooling technology applied to two frequency conversion machine rooms of power plant in Shaanxi and Inner Mongolia. The results show that the indoor temperature keeps between 26 ℃ and 30 ℃, while the relative humidity remains between 50% and 60% and the unit temperature drop keeps between 8 ℃ and 11 ℃. The corresponding efficiencies of tube type indirect and direct evaporative cooling sections are about 40% and 85%, respectively. Based on the test results, analyses the problems existing in the ways of filter, water distribution, air supply and exhaust mode, and indoor air volume balance of the ventilation cooling system.Provides the improvement measures for the design, operational management and maintenance of the evaporative cooling ventilation cooling system and the evaporative cooling air handling units.
